Coach Shannon has coached for 36 years with seven of those being in college and the last 10 at Harrah.  He began coaching slowpitch when there was only one class. He along with Jerry Johnson were instrumental in getting new classes added in 1988. Coach Shannon won the very first Class 4A title at Little Axe that year. Having amassed over 400 career wins, numerous All-Staters as well as professional athletes Coach Shannon said,” nothing gives me more pleasure than to work with young athletes and watch them achieve their goals.”
