Coach Hood Baldwin has been in the coaching profession for the past 22 years. He has been coaching at Antlers Public Schools for the past 12 years and has held the position of head softball coach for 10 of those years. Over the past 17 years of coaching slow-pitch, Coach Baldwin has compiled a record of 386 wins and 186 losses. While coaching both at Antlers and Minco, Coach Baldwin’s teams have acquired many District Championships, earned several trips to the Class 5A State Tournament, and enjoyed several visits to the State Semifinals. Coach Baldwin was an All-State Coach in 1994 and was the Large School District 4 Coach of the Year on two occasions. He has served on the Class 5A District 4 Board of Directors for eight years as well as serving on the Class 5A Ranking Committee. Coach Baldwin has had the distinction of serving as the Association’s President from 2007-2009 and serving as the Vice President for two years. “It was a privilege to serve as the President of such a prestigious Association. The people involved make this Association superior,” Baldwin said. Coach Baldwin would, also, like to thank the Association for the honor of being elected to the Hall of Fame.
