Joe Gilbert has coached at Barnsdall High School for 56 years, winning 3,429 varsity games in six sports. He has coached Slow-Pitch Softball for eight years, winning 185 games and making it to the state tournament all eight years. This year they were beaten in the state championship game by Dewar. He has coached Fast-Pitch Softball for 43 years winning 971 games. Joe is a Hall of Fame member of Northeastern State University Athletics, Oklahoma Coaches Association, Oklahoma Fast Pitch Softball Coaches Association, Oklahoma Boys Basketball Coaches Association and Oklahoma Baseball Coaches Association.
