HALL OF FAME 2010

Vic Richardson - Seminole

Vic Richardson

Seminole

Vic has been teaching since January of 1974. He started the girls softball program in Seminole the Spring of 1992 and remained as head coach until the end of the 2000 season. During his nine year tenure, he compiled a record of 250 wins and 62 losses. His team made it’s first trip to the State Tournament in 1994 and returned to final eight every year until he retired, finishing as State Champions three times and the final four once.

Vic enjoyed working with OSSCA and still feels slow-pitch softball is one of the best games ever invented. Vic still stays in contact with a number of his old players and has treasured watching them grow in to young women, many with families of their own. Four of his players have gone on to begin coaching careers themselves. He is still involved with teaching at Seminole Upper Elementary.

Vic has been married Maureen for 37 years. They have two children, Zac and Ashley, and one son-in-law, Kris. Vic and Maureen have two grandchildren, Emma and Ethan
